Our Focus

Welcome

From Pastor Don

I would like to welcome you to gather on Sunday morning with us for a time of encouragement, instruction, consolation, and motivation (1 Cor 14:3, Heb 10:24-25).

I believe Sunday mornings should be a time to gather for edification and then scatter for evangelism. I believe God said the test for our church will be the effectiveness of our members to penetrate into our community. That is why our Purpose statement is "The People of God in the Community To Impact the Community." Touching the community is a by product of the members themselves and their witness during the week.

Our Sunday morning service provide an atmosphere in which believers can praise God, learn more about the Bible, and be moved toward ministry. This is a time where we intend to interest people in ministry. That is done through the Pulpit as the Word of God inspires God's people to works of service. This is where we as God's people begin to call others out of the stands and on to the playing field for action.

As the people of God our job is to make sure we are discipleing people to take their opportunity to be ministers themselves. Through the men's discipleship group and our vision for a women's discipleship group we are declaring and calling people to participate. Sunday mornings through the pulpit we will reinforce the reasons it is important and in their best interest to be a part of God's work. As pastor, I feel God wants me to use the pulpit to build church environment. The music, the prayer time, the teaching time, will back up what is done in the pulpit to motivate people to action. The bottom line of what I feel God is sharing is this: To use the Sunday morning meeting to interest people in living for God and working for God and becoming disciples. I feel God is saying our job now as His people is to look at our part, whether preaching, praying, music team, eldering, teaching, ect… and take great care to make sure that we do it with this as the goal.

God says we are like Nehemiah and are doing a great work. But to get a great work done we need to have a clear plan and people who understand the plan to accomplish this goal. It is my honor to be placed in the midst of people who desire to see God's Glory in His church once again. All I can say is watch out devil here we come!!!!!!!
